Educational Presentation on Electrosurgical Workstations

The Gastroenterology Department of Konstantopouleio General Hospital “Agia Olga” participated in the educational presentation we organized on electrosurgical workstations of Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH.

ENDOSCOPIKI SA team organized an educational presentation on electrosurgical workstations of Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH in the Gastroenterology Department of Konstantopouleio General Hospital “Agia Olga”, under the direction of Dr. Konstantina Paraskeva.

VIO3 & APC3

The state-of-the-art electrosurgical workstation VIΟ3 by Erbe Elektromedizin is the world’s best-selling system. The electrosurgical workstation VIΟ3 uses 15 digital signal processors with a capacity of 25 million measurements/sec. This facilitates superior system performance and improves reproducibility of the tissue effect. The electrosurgical workstation VIΟ3 allows the simultaneous use of up to 6 instruments. The large touchscreen with its graphical user interface, ensures user friendliness, allowing to control easily all parameters. In addition, we presented Argon Plasma Coagulation system APC3, which offers operating convenience when connected to the logical and plausible VIO 3 interface. The Argon Plasma Coagulation system, is adjustable with a 100-step effect setting and provides pulsedAPCforcedAPC modes and preciseAPC for the lower power range and sensitive structures.

VIO 200S & APC2

The electrosurgical workstation VIΟ 200S by Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH provides precise power output adjusted to the individual indications. The system is very easy to operate due to FocusView mode. It is supported with electrode safety system NESSY and provides interactive assistance when positioning the return electrode. Moreover, VIΟ 200S can be updated, provides the ability to store up to 10 programs and to connect 2 footswitches. The Αrgon Plasma Coagulation system APC2 with its Non-Contact procedure mode prevents sticking of the instrument tip to the tissue. Provides effective, even surface coagulation for uniform haemostasis. Lastly with APC2 minimal carbonization is made, thus reducing unpleasant odors.

The educational presentation on electrosurgical workstations, which also had a hands-on part, was attended by all the medical and nursing staff of the Gastroenterology department, thus solving all possible questions that existed.
